1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GCIS Fusion (globalcrisisindex.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use this platform.

2. Free vs Paid Tiers

Free Tier: Provides access to limited features for non-commercial evaluation. Rate limits apply.

Pro Tier ($29/month): Provides access to all 60+ countries, AI briefs, PDF reports, email alerts, and commercial API endpoints. Subscriptions auto-renew monthly. Cancel anytime in your account settings.

Enterprise Tier (Custom pricing): White-label API, SLA guarantee, dedicated support. Contact sales@globalcrisisindex.com.

3. Refund & Cancellation Policy

All Pro subscription sales are final. No refunds for partial months. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.

4. Acceptable Use & Anti-Abuse Policy

You agree NOT to:

• Scrape or harvest data at rates exceeding 60 requests per minute without written permission
• Use automated scripts to bypass rate limits or access restrictions
• Resell or redistribute GCIS Fusion data without a separate enterprise agreement
• Use the platform for unlawful purposes or in violation of any applicable laws
• Interfere with or disrupt the platform's infrastructure or API endpoints

Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of access.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, scores, algorithms, and visualizations on GCIS Fusion are proprietary to Global Crisis Index. You may not copy, reproduce, or reverse-engineer our methodology without explicit written consent. Third-party data (USGS, ACLED, UNHCR, WHO, IPC, etc.) remains the property of their respective owners.

6. FINANCIAL & INVESTMENT DISCLAIMER

GCIS Fusion is NOT a financial advisory service. The crisis scores, risk metrics, and analytics provided are for informational and research purposes only. Nothing on this platform constitutes:

• Investment advice or a recommendation to buy/sell securities
• Trading signals or market predictions
• Risk assessment for commercial lending or insurance underwriting
• Due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, or capital allocation

You assume all responsibility for any financial, trading, or investment decisions made using our data. Past scores do not predict future outcomes. We strongly recommend independent verification before acting on any data.

7. NO TRADING OR INVESTMENT LIABILITY

YOU AGREE THAT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL GCIS FUSION, ITS OWNER, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

• Trading losses, missed profits, or capital depreciation resulting from decisions based on our data
• Algorithmic or automated trading strategies incorporating our scores
• Hedge fund, asset management, or proprietary trading firm losses
• Derivative positions, options, futures, or other financial instruments
• Insurance underwriting or catastrophe bond pricing errors

This limitation applies regardless of whether you used the free tier, Pro subscription, or any API access.

8. Data Accuracy & Third-Party Sources

GCIS Fusion aggregates data from third-party APIs, including but not limited to: USGS, EMSC, ACLED, GDELT, UNHCR, WHO, IPC, FEWS NET, Open-Meteo, World Bank, IMF, GDACS, ReliefWeb, NASA FIRMS. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee:

• Real-time timeliness or immediate updates
• Absence of API downtime or data gaps
• Verification of third-party data accuracy
• Fitness for any particular purpose

Use at your own risk. Independent verification is recommended before making critical decisions.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GCIS FUSION SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business interruption, arising from your use or inability to use the platform. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for accessing the platform in the preceding 12 months.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GCIS Fusion and its owner from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the platform in violation of these terms
• Your financial or trading decisions based on our data
• Automated scripts or scraping activities you conduct
• Third-party claims arising from your redistribution of our data

11. Automated Access & Scraping

Automated access (including but not limited to scripts, bots, crawlers, and cron jobs) without explicit written permission is subject to rate limits. We reserve the right to block or throttle any IP address or user agent engaging in abusive automated access. For legitimate automated use (e.g., API integration), please subscribe to the Pro or Enterprise tier.

12. Termination & Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if we believe you have violated these terms, engaged in abusive scraping, or used our data for unauthorized commercial purposes. No refunds will be issued for termination due to violation.

13. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be notified via email or site notice.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the platform owner resides. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, not court litigation.
